Establish a connection between the DSR and a gateway.

Prerequisite: The information entered into the DSR Lock Configuration Tool must be provided in Elements. This allows the gateway to communicate with the DSR.

Add the DSR to a Gateway

  1. On the Devices page, select the gateway to which the DSR will communicate.

  2. Next to the gateway, select the actions menu and then choose Add an ASSA ABLOY DSR.

  3. On the Configure screen, enter a descriptive name for the DSR.

  4. Enter the DSR Address. Configure the DSR to use the IP address or FQDN (fully qualified domain name).

  5. For the Port, enter 8080. The port on the DSR needs to match the port configured in Elements.

  6. Use TLS Encryption is enabled by default. This enables TLS encryption between the the DSR and gateway. Select the toggle switch to disable this option. For more information, refer to Configuring TLS on an ASSA ABLOY DSR.

  7. Select Save to save the configuration. If you exit this screen after entering the information without saving, you will be prompted to save or discard your changes.

After the DSR is added, the device tree will show a placeholder for the lock.

If TLS is not enabled, the DSR will come online immediately. If TLS is enabled, there will be no communication with the DSR until the certificate is trusted. For more information, refer to Certificates.
